Dear Washington…

March 21st, 2010 Sphere: Related Content

An ugly era in our country is right around the corner.  Spending is out of control.  The misunderstanding of our own Constitution by our own representatives is reprehensible.

If fact, it’s become apparent that our representatives really aren’t representing any longer, they simply vote to keep their jobs.

In that light, please let me send a bit of a warning to our fellow Americans in Washington.  When the taxpayer no longer sees their money as being spent frugally, they stop paying taxes.  Laws be damned.

Our government is one of the most corrupt in the World.  It should become obvious when labor unions sway votes even though the general public doesn’t want legislation.

I mentioned to a loved one last night, jokingly, that I was thinking of not paying my ‘09 taxes. She didn’t think it was such a great idea, and I will of course get my taxes paid because I’m not in a position, yet, to defend myself…and there’s a sliver of me that still believes our system is the best of the worst.

However, I can foresee courts being used more for this type of backlash. I think there are two parts to this anger: one is that the public isn’t educated on where their money goes, they simply want to be angry because the media tells them to, and two is that our elected figures in Washington have ‘other’ agendas.

BTW, how much longer are you going to be reading “Rigged”? Page a day? I’ve started reading Lewis’ new book, “The Big Short”..pretty good so far, I’d recco.

Let’s just say what’s on our minds. It is really all about the power and money. The constitution does not really matter unless there is some way to demonize it.

Hopefully come November we will have a major revolution and take our government back. Until we learn to deal with bureaucrats it will never get straightened out. Our politicians care nothing about the Constitution and I can tell you that 999 out of 1,000 bureaucrats don’t even know what the Constitution is.
