Well that’s a good thing to know actually but it depends on individuals, but IMO that’s the great move by French Government. There are a bunch of studies on passive smokers its not fair with them, which also includes kids and pets.

That’s true, and that very argument is spreading in communities around the world.
Some argue that it’s their right to smoke, and if you don’t like it, go elsewhere. And on one hand they have a point.
On the other hand, it’s also you’re right to live in a clean and healthy environment, and these studies suggest that second hand smoke is not a “healthy” environment, so why don’t smokers go smoke elsewhere?

Do you think this will change the ambiance of France? In my mind, when I think of a frenchman, I think of a tall slim guy with a cancer stick hanging out of his mouth.
In the future, I’ll have to change my vision.

Slappy, I’m not sure it will change the “ambiance” much, but I do think it will be a tough policy to enforce, especially at first.
